An As Seen On TV Product That Works

It never ceases to amaze me that we as the American public insist on throwing our money away on needless junk.  But it's not always junk, is it? We have all had our wonders about As Seen On TV products that we see advertised on late night television.  They look fun but do they work?  The answer is pretty much yes, and no.  Some products are certainly better than others and some are actually terrific. But, it can be very tough to tell which products are on the up and up just by watching the ad.  Most people are apprehensive about buying things on tv, but they don't have to be because there are some diamonds in the rough. Here are just a few.

In my opinion, the grill glove is one of them.  As seen on TV kitchen products are always a great seller but who really needs a chopper, a cooker or a steamer? I've bought plenty of these things and they all just collect dust. But the grill glove is the first thing I tried that actually gets used. I'm not sure if it is just my cooking style, or lack of one, which makes it perfect for me, or if I'm just out of my mind. You see, with the grill glove you can actually reach your had into boiling water or even a fire without getting burned. It's purpose is to allow you to control, flip or place food safely without the need for clumsy utensils.  It is something you can use with the grill or oven and use every day.  Everyone uses oven mitts so this product is product addresses a need, it is not something that promises to make you a gourmet chef with a fryer, chopper or pan like so many others.

The grill glove is not available in stores but that should be corrected soon. It is too good of an idea to stay a secret for long. I would not be surprised to see it in all the major chains some time soon.  But, in the meantime anyone who wants to try it will have to bite the bullet and buy grill glove online. This is where it gets tricky for a lot of people. Can you trust these marketing companies selling their wares in the wee hours when our defenses are down?  In this case, yes, and here's why.

I've read so many horror stories online about people buying things and never receiving them or getting into some type of bait and switch situation so this experience was quite a pleasure. After I ordered my grill glove I received a conformation email from the company which contained my customer number and their contact info.  It was not hard to get in touch with a customer service rep and they were helpful when I emailed them to change my shipping address. I was pretty impressed because this goes against everything I've read about the industry.

So when you are watching your favorite show on TV and some enticing infomercial comes on you may just be looking at something worth while. While some infomercials can be more entertaining than the shows they interrupt they're not all bad. Just be careful when ordering and anything that looks too good to be true probably is.

Fridge Locker As Seen On TV

I'm so happy to see your As Seen On TV reviews site because I'm wild about the Fridge Locker.  When I first saw it on Pitchmen I thought it was the absolutely stupidest thing I had ever seen, which made it the perfect infomercial product.

The Fridge Locker commercial was hilarious and the scene in Pitchmen showing the bear trying to break into the thing was an instant classic. I immediately thought this would become one of the most popular late night infomercials ever but wondered who actually needed the product.

It dawned on me the next day at work that I was someone who needed it and there were probably a lot of others out there in the same situation.  My issue is this.  I work in a large office and as a group, the employees order food from Costco to be delivered to the office each month.  It's great to have a stockpile of snacks and drinks at work and it definitely saves money doing the bulk thing.  However, without fail, most of my sodas and fruit gets gobbled up by my coworkers. I never complain about it but others certainly do. It never occurred to me to have some type of food locker in the refrigerator to protect my food.  Luckily, the inventors of the Fridge Locker did.

So I ended up ordering the Fridge Locker because I could not find it in stores. I'm not much for buying things without actually holding it my hands first, but I took the risk because I knew having this in the office would be a lot of fun. I paid $19.99 plus shipping & handling.  In total my order for two fridge lockers came to $34.97. I certainly don't need two of them because believe it or not, one of them holds plenty of food.

When the fridge locker arrived I put it together in about five minutes.  It came with 3 identical sides, a front gate and rear wall, a bunch of plastic clip inserts and a clip tool.  The instructions were relatively simple and easy to follow. This was the first time in my life I ever bought a product that came with spare parts in case you lose some. I was very impressed by that and wanted to mention it. I had four clips left over and the extras were noted in the instructions.

Once I had gotten it together I really wanted to put it to the test and see how sturdy it was. I tugged on it and even pulled on the sides it was surprisingly sturdy.  The only weakness may be the gate because by definition the gate swings and the pegs where the gate connects with the sides might be vulnerable.  But stealing food is a crime of opportunity and the Fridge Locker removes the opportunity so it is definitely strong enough to do the job.

There was some question as to if it would be too large for the standard fridge, or be to small to hold a significant amount of food.  I have to say that both of these issues were answered to my satisfaction. The fridge locker is designed to take up as little space possible in a standard size refrigerator.

The Perfect Punch

As a self proclaimed As Seen On TV junkie, I love to find out about new products.  Perhaps it is my desire to poke fun at the ridiculous or my cynical nature but I love taking aim at a fresh new infomercial product whenever I get the chance.  However, this time I'm actually impressed with what I have seen so far from the Perfect Punch.

No, it is not a recipe for the ultimate party drink or some fancy little scapbooking tool, it is the latest in a long line of As Seen On TV fitness products and I hate to say that this one has a real fighting chance to became an instant smash hit. Yep, we are going to see this one around for awhile and unfortunately for me, there is really nothing funny I can say about the product or the infomercial at all.  The Perfect Punch seems to be the real deal.

There are so many fitness products released every year and each one seems dumber than than the next, but the makers of the Perfect Punch are really on to something here and my gut tells me we may be looking at the next fitness fad.

I have never seen a product that appeals more to the macho nature of man than the Perfect Punch and I have to admit that I am completely taken it.  If you have not seen the commercial I can tell you that this entire product is based on MMA training principles.  It is a simple, yet totally awesome, set of MMA Training Gloves attached together by a resistance band which trains you how to throw the perfect punch.  It also provides a thorough low impact cardio workout.

Mixed Martial Arts has never been as popular as it is today and fight fans will definitely want to get their hand on this training system.  Even if they have no intention of ever stepping into the ring the principles of this workout have been proven effective time and time again.  Boxers have been shadowboxing for years and the Perfect Punch is an updated version of this process geared toward training today's generation of fighters.

The fact that people now have a way to train like their favorite fighters and look pretty cool doing it is what leads me to believe the Perfect Punch will be a hit right out of the gates.  It is a novel idea among droves of fitness products but it is certainly no novelty.  This is real training and fight preparation packaged up for us by FOX Sports celebrity Jay Glazer. But unlike most As Seen On TV fitness products, there are no weird machines that will just collect dust in the garage.

The Perfect Punch comes with really awesome MMA Training Gloves, a couple of power bands which help provide progressive resistance during reps and Jay Glazer's workout DVD.  It is a simple product which will be easy to use for everybody.  And, the most impressive part is that everyone can benefit from it because it is really effective but even more fun to do. Everyone will enjoy using it because for most of us it will be a completely new way to workout.

Experts are always talking about how important it is to change up your workouts and the Perfect Punch MMA Training system is a total departure from any routine you may be currently doing. I think you will even see this being used in health clubs around the country and I wouldn't be surprised if there were entire fitness classes built around the Perfect Punch itself.

The jury is still out on the Perfect Punch but in my opinion it is case closed. Every once in awhile a new product will come out which is so innovative that even naysayers like me have to give it props.  So if and when the Perfect Punch becomes the As Seen On TV fitness product of the year remember that you heard it here first.

Perfect Punch From As Seen On TV

I recently saw an ad for the Perfect Punch while I was watching WEC WrekCage and I was literally blown away.  I had not seen this product before but it seems that finally the As Seen On TV people put out a really amazing training product. Not only did thing appeal to me, but I imagine it will excite fight enthusiasts worldwide. I searched online and found a few Perfect Punch Reviews and from the assembly to the workout this has got to be one of the best products ever.

There are dozens of As Seen On TV fitness products released every year and I they all claim to be the best but this one seems like the real deal and is probably very effective. Well I think it will be effective because it is based on the same techniques being used in boxing training. In real boxing or MMA, the fighters train using the same motion and it is pretty easy to see what type of shape these guys are in. So it is reasonable to assume that with a little effort we can also use these techniques and get into shape.

It is almost as if by default you will get a pretty awesome workout while you are learning to throw the perfect punch. Sure, we are just talking about a little shadow boxing here, but the side effects will be an excellent cardio workout, massive shoulder burning, ripped biceps and the development of real power. The fact that all of this is accomplished without lifting weights and without stress on your joints and connective tissues, is really a significant breakthrough if you ask me.

The idea here is to combine interval training and progressive resistance in order to build strength, increase skill and burn calories.  The motion is the precise striking motion which fighters train years to master and the perfect punch makes sure you do it properly every time. So even if you are already a fighter you will get better, or if you just want a killer workout you can get that as well.

The entire system consists of the MMA resistance training gloves, additional power cord and a workout DVD so it is definitely a portable workout.  Assembly is only required if you choose to add the tougher cord to the gloves right off the bat but I doubt anyone would need to do this. The way it is delivered provides plenty of challenge for even the strongest men or most skilled fighters.  They do include instructions are clear and simple and you will working out MMA style in under a minute.

The product itself seems sturdy and the MMA training gloves look like high quality gear but I cannot attest to that yet since I just ordered mine.  This is not a product that you will buy and forget about.  The workouts will be tough but very easy to do as far as gloving up, strapping in and kicking butt.  Boxing is cool and most people really enjoy the training once they get into it so I doubt you will not get sick of this workout.  At first it may only take minutes to achieve complete muscle exhaustion but as time goes by you will be able to go longer. Your muscles will ignite and burn and feel awesome when you are done.  I have to say this looks like a winner.

I have not yet seen many perfect punch reviews or a lot of advertising for this yet and have not ever seen it in stores but I have a very good feeling about it. It is too simple not to be a hit and its very nature will appeal to a large demographic of both workout and fight enthusiasts whom historically like to try new types of training methods.  It is being launched by MMA Trainer and Commentator Jay Glazer who you might know from FOX Sports so this could literally become the next big thing is the As Seen On TV fitness market.

This File is a Wonder

I have tried many an As Seen on TV product and I have to say hands down the Wonder File is by far one of the best prodcuts I have ordered. I watched the commercial and I thought I got to get one of these. The wonder file arrived about three weeks after purchase. That was the only bummer. I wish they sold these in stores. I like it so much  I ordered another so with the buy one get one I now have four. One for me, one for our child and one for my house and office. I must say I am addicted to this file. If you are a neat freak like myself you are going to love this contraption. This is not your average file it is a wonder. So if you were on the edge on this one I say go for it you won't regret the purchase. Watch the video it really can do what it shows and the quality of this file is much better than I ever expected.

Cold Fire Extinguisher As Seen On TV Commercial

When I first saw Cold Fire on Pitchmen I was pretty blown away.  This product certainly had the wow power to be an As Seen On TV hit, but then I began to think about how much I needed one of these, or two actually. Fire preparedness has not been something on my mind, but it certainly is now.  Take a look at the Cold Fire commercial and you will see what I'm talking about.

Cold Fire Extinguisher On Pitchmen

Cold Fire Extinguishers are a definitely the hot new As Seen On TV product of the year but I've noticed a little trend here.  The series Pitchmen premiered with Anthony Sullivan lighting himself on fire to prove the value of his latest and greatest product.  But, this isn't the first time things get heated for Sullivan.

A few months back I recall Anthony Sullivan pitching a pretty neat product called the Grill Glove which is a fire proof glove used while you are grilling. It allows you to reach onto the grill and remove, turn or flip food without getting burned or needing tongs. It really is a cleaver idea and we will hear more about it during grilling seasons.  The thing that surprised me was Sullivan's willingness to reach in to the fire to test it out. I didn't expect that from him and was rather impressed.

So Sullivan stepped it up a notch on Pitchmen when an inventor presented a non toxic, biodegradable flame retardant in a can. Sounds like a fire extinguisher right? Well it wasn't but it made Sullivan nervous. The inventor wanted to demonstrate by applying the Cold Fire liquid to his arm and putting a blow torch to it.  Sully was taken back and hesitant enough to call for a real fire extinguisher to be on call.  The stunt was pulled off without a hitch and Sullivan was inspired to give it a whirl. I knew immediately Cold Fire Extinguisher was gonna be a hit!

For the infomercial Anthony Sullivan donned a fire suit and set himself ablaze to show the world the power of Cold Fire.  It was a great stunt and satisfied Rule 1 of direct response marketing, the Wow Factor.  Even though there are bold disclaimers about trying this at home, I know what's coming.  Teenagers, morons and fools are going to buy Cold Fire and put it to the test.  I hope it works or there are going to be lines at the Emergency Room door.

Overall, the season Premiere of Pitchmen was great and they really didn't miss a beat without Billy Mays. I think it is safe to say that we are in for a whole slew of silly As Seen On TV products this year, but a few like Cold Fire Extinguishers are life savers.

Find out more about the Cold Fire Extinguishers or Read about Cold Fire and find out what others are saying.

PerfectFitButton Review

The Perfect Fit Button

I just got my perfect fit button package about a week ago and I'm thrilled with this product. Most As Seen On TV stuff looks to be good to be true and some of it is. However, this product appealed to me when I first saw the commercial and it has lived up to its word. You really can let your own pants in or out within seconds.

I was a bit skeptical because I didn't know if these perfect fit buttons would be strong enough against the force of my gut but they snap into place and hang on. The other thing that threw me off a bit is what do you do with the original button but as soon as I realized you just leave it there and cover it up with a belt, it all made sense to me.

I may be slow but I eventually catch on to things. I was looking at this product solely as a replacement for lost buttons which I'm an expert at losing. It seems I don't fully break in my pants until the button has fallen off. It's then, and only then, that I really love my jeans, shorts, khakis or whatever. Maybe I don't notice them until I can't wear them anymore but I can't stand brand new jeans or pants and find myself trying to awkwardly sew on new buttons.

I had always been thankful that most of my pants had that extra button attached inside just in case you lose one, but that doesn't mean you are going to be able to sew it on in exactly the right place, or use enough thread so it will be strong enough to hold up for awhile. Sewing on buttons, isn't the easiest thing in the world to do, but I do it.

So when I got my perfect button I was thrilled to just jam it through and snap the cap on and presto. It worked like a charm. I then realized that I had some pants that I didn't wear because I had lost about 20 pounds. I tried the perfect button to take in my waistline and it worked great. Well, as long as I wore a belt because it does look kind of funny buttoning your pants a few inches to the side.

Since I feel the belt is necessary for me, I don't really care for the colored buttons that come in the set. It makes no difference which one I choose and I find that I prefer the metallic "jeans" button. Most of my stuff requiring this little trick is casual and since you get two of each button, I've gravitated toward the denim button for whatever reason. I suppose the others are just as good and people will use them, but I think it will be nothing more than personal preference.

The only thing I didn't like about the offer was the bonus Shoes Under which I really didn't want or need. But it's a package deal and if you want to dance you gotta pay the band. So I have a shoes under that I will probably never open. Other than that, I think the product is great and I'm surprised they didn't come up with it years ago.

Ab Rocket Ab Workout

THE AB ROCKET: A TUMMY TONER?

Ever since my last baby, I’ve been trying to lose the belly fat that comes with the territory. Conventional sit-ups hurt my back, and all crunches seem to do is hurt my neck. I saw the As Seen On TV commercial for the AB ROCKET, and thought it was worth a try. They advertised that I could try it out for 30 days for $14.95 plus shipping and could return it if I didn’t like it, so I figured I didn’t have a whole lot to lose. I did look at a lot of reviews before I ordered, though. The consensus was that if you were under 5’ 10”, and didn’t have a huge belly, the Ab Rocket machine would provide muscle toning that would firm up your belly.

Ab Rocket:The Equipment
It arrived, and I put it together (by myself actually!). The directions are straightforward, and, although the coils were a little challenging, it went together pretty easily. The AB ROCKET sits on the floor, and is really nothing more than a fixed seat with a spring coil loaded back attached to the seat. The back is made of rollers that are supposed to “massage” you while you are exercising. That part I don’t know about. The Ab Rocket comes with springs of three resistance levels, and I used the ones with the least resistance. I figured I’d start off easy and then work my way up if I was able.

Ab Rocket:The Workout
The way the springs are attached cause you to work as you go back, and then assist you in the “crunch” portion of the exercise. The Ab Rocket supports my head and neck during the exercise so there’s no strain of those muscles involved, and my lower back isn’t sore either.

My experience has been good, so I wound up paying the $120 to complete the purchase. If you are a novice to exercise like me, the AB ROCKET may be for you. I have felt a tightening in my stomach without the associated aches and pains of other ab regimens. I have my own little routine that I start in front of the TV after the kids go to bed; my husband knows not to bug me then, that’s for sure. Maybe one day I can talk him into getting rid of his belly, too!

Perfect Fit Buttons Work Great!

Perfect Fit Button

Have you ever bent over and had your pants or skirt button pop off and fall to the floor? The only time these embarrassing things seem to happen to me is when I’m out socially, or I’m trying make a good impression at a business appointment. So when I heard about the Perfect Fit Button I was thinking that it would be awesome if they worked, and If I had a few in my purse just in case. Instead of hoping I had a safety pin in my purse, I could actually have a quick fix and forget about it.

The Perfect Fit Button is a temporary replacement button that comes in four colors: khaki, black, brown and silver colored for jeans. The button has a post that extends through the pants fabric, and is secured with a clip the inside of the waistband. The post is strong enough to go through denim, corduroy, suede or leather, so it’s applicable to my whole wardrobe. The buttons are so nice looking that no one would ever know that they’re a temporary fix. In fact, there really is no reason to replace a lost button unless you are a stickler for something sewn on.

When I saw the commercial, I thought of all the different uses for the Perfect Fit Button and ordered. I got two sets of four for under $20, and they threw in a bonus Shoes Under storage container. I know I’ll be using it every month “at that time” when I bloat like crazy and I can’t button anything for a week. I’ll just easily expand the waist of my wardrobe for the week, and be back to normal for the rest of the month.

I’m slowly encouraging my husband to start using the buttons, too. He’s buying these pants with the expanders in the waistband. The only problem is that when the expanders are working, his pants pockets open up and expose the white inner pocket lining which looks just terrible. With the Perfect Fit Button, he can buy pants without the expanders, and increase the waist size to accommodate his ever expanding belly. Once he puts on his belt, no one will ever know. I’ve also told my daughter about these buttons. With the cost of raising kids today, hand-me-downs are still a fact of life. As her kids are growing into the hand-me-down pants or jeans, this will help to make sure the waist fits securely.

Since I’ve received the Perfect Fit Buttons, I’ve been carrying them in my purse. I’ve told several of my friends about them because I love to share handy stuff and I know I few have ordered their own. I haven't had anyone tell me they regret getting these things and it seems I find a new uses for them constantly. They work great on tents when it's time to batten down the hatches during a rain storm. Nobody is laughing at the lady who brought her purse camping now!

The Perfect Fit Buttons really are a neat idea...wish I had thought of it

Contour Abs Belt an Abdominal Trainer?

Contour Abs

Lately, I don’t have time to exercise as much as I want. The effects of childbirth are evident (around my middle especially), and I really want to have my teen belly back! When I saw the Contour Abs Belt advertised on one of these As Seen On TV ads, I was interested immediately. I mean, what could be better than an abdominal core workout while watching TV on the couch?

How Does Contour Abs Work?
The basic principal seems to be that this ab belt wraps around the user’s belly and sends electronic pulses that cause the abdominal muscles to contract. Apparently, these contractions have the same effects on the abs as sit-ups or crunches would. My
research into the Contour Ab Belt gave some really interesting theories on how effective this would be. It seems that the medical consensus regarding both the Contour product and other weight loss devices based on electronic stimulation, is that they don’t burn fat around the mid-section, but they might help with definition. So, the Contour Abs Belt would help you get a flatter stomach, but if you’re trying to get rid of the flab itself, the Contour Ab Belt doesn’t have much to offer you.

While researching this type of product, I found that why so many of these Electronic Ab belts fail to work is either because they’re either poorly designed or cheaply produced. However, the science says that the Contour Ab Belt should work and work very well and that is encouraging.

Is It FDA Approved?
One final pro that is worth mentioning about this system is that it has the full support of the Food and Drug Administration. One of the major drawbacks of products advertised online products is that they often lack this regulatory seal of approval. This means that purchasers would have no recourse available if the product was advertised and sold dishonestly. The seal of approval from the FDA may not guarantee success, but it at least guarantees transparency and accountability and that is something that every customer should be very happy about having on this product.

I know Mother’s Day is on the way, so I’m going to start hinting now that the Contour Abs for is what I’d like. It’s a pretty good investment, but I think my feeling good about myself will be worth it!

Crazy Critters Dog Toy

With Crazy Critters, finding the perfect dog toy is no longer tricky. We want to make sure they have the best toy to play with that is fun for them, and durable enough that we don’t have to keep re-purchasing the same toy several times. No one likes to come home to find the inside stuffing of a dog toy all over the living room floor.

Crazy Critters are dog toys that are stuffing free. They are great for any dog of any size. The Crazy Critters have squeakers in the head and a squeaker in the tail. Every Crazy Critter will lay flat so all dogs can easily pick them up to play. Since each Crazy Critter has no stuffing inside, your dog can play and tug for hours and you do not need to worry about the toy falling apart and making a mess.

A Crazy Critter is the dog toy that is a winner for everyone. Dogs will love to play with their new squeaky toy, and you will love to give your dog a great toy without having to worry about cleaning it up. This one is a lot of fun!
